Vinidhra brings empathy and creativity to her work and uses her rigorous legal research and litigation skills to provide high quality and efficient legal services. Her practice includes labour & employment, human rights, civil litigation, and criminal defence. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2018 and joined Kastner Law as an associate in 2019.
Before practicing with Kastner Law, Vini articled with the Ontario government’s Constitutional Law Branch and clerked for the judges of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, where she worked on a range of complex civil and criminal matters.
Vini received her law degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. As a law student, Vini was awarded the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia Scholarship, the Frank M. Covert Memorial Scholarship, the W.S. O’Hara Prize for the highest standing in criminal law, the Dawn Russell Community Commitment Award, and other distinctions. Vini also clerked at the Nova Scotia Supreme Court and completed a clinical placement at Nova Scotia Legal Aid, where she assisted low income clients with criminal law matters. She was also an oralist in the 2017 Laskin Moot, a peer educator for the Indigenous Black & Mi’kmaq Initiative, and a board member for the East Coast Environmental Law Association.
Prior to law school, Vinidhra earned a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from McMaster University and worked in marketing and consulting in the medical communications field.
